Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of DBF Rescue Pro’s website, account portal, APIs, and (when released) desktop software (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Using the Service

  • You must comply with applicable laws.
  • You are responsible for your devices, credentials, and backups.
  • We may refuse service to protect security, integrity, or legal compliance.

2. Software license (desktop app)

If you receive a license key, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software for your internal or personal use, subject to your plan’s activation limits.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where prohibited by law.
  • Bypass licensing or activation controls.
  • Resell or sublicense the software except with our written permission.

3. Account portal and recovery

  • Sign-in codes are time-limited and intended for the email owner.
  • If email delivery is unavailable, license-key sign-in may be provided as a fallback.

4. Purchases and billing (when enabled)

  • Payments are processed by Stripe and may be subject to Stripe’s terms.
  • Taxes may apply depending on your location and purchase type.
  • Refunds, if offered, are described in our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including:

  • Attempting to disrupt, probe, or compromise the Service or related infrastructure.
  • Submitting unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
  • Automating requests in a way that harms availability or other users.

6. Data safety and responsibility

Data repair is inherently risky. You are responsible for maintaining backups and verifying outputs. We do not guarantee that recovered or converted data will be complete, correct, or suitable for any specific purpose.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DBF RESCUE PRO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service. License status may be updated (for example, revoked) in response to refunds or fraud signals.

We may update these Terms. The effective date above indicates the latest revision.
